Match Report

Lacklustre Duchy lose to Caradon

A dire first half from Duchy saw Caradon take control of the match and run out comfortable winners.

Caradon took the lead from a penalty corner inside ten minutes and, despite a fine equaliser from Lee Selby, restored their advantage mid-way through the half from another set piece before extending their advange shortly before the break. Duchy were unusually poor for much of the half with passes frequently going astray and poor marking allowing Caradon far too much time on the ball.

There was some improvement from Duchy after the interval, with Chris Pearce and Martin Crump both going close to pulling a goal back, however Caradon snatched a fourth with fifteen minutes remaining, before seeing out the match for a 4-1 victory.

Player of the match for Duchy was awarded to 'keeper Kevin Welsh, who performed excellently to limit the deficiet.
