Bradford Hat-Trick as Duchy B score Seven
Duchy B recorded their first pre-season win, running in seven goals away to PGSOB C in Plymouth, with Neil Bradford scoring a hat-trick.
The home side started the match with only ten men, and Duchy took imediate advantage with Bradford turning home a pass from Rick Searle after two minutes, before a weak pass from a PGSOB defender was intercepted by Bradford and slotted home for 2-0 with only seven minutes played.
With a quarter of the match played, PGSOB's eleventh man arrived, and the parity in number brough imediate dividends with the home side clawing a goal back; however Duchy quickly restored their two lead with Colin Thomas passing across the circle for Dave Warman to sweep home; and five minutes later the score was 4-1 when Bradford squaring the ball to Thomas who tapped home at the back post.
Duchy retained their lead until half time and moved further ahead at the start of the second when Rick Searle fired home a penalty corner; with Sam Adams - making his first Duchy appearance for 3 years - taking the score to 6-1 with another set piece on the fifty minute mark. Another consolation from PGSOB - a crash ball into the circle which was deflected home - cut the deficiet to 6-2; however Bradford struck late on to claim a hat-trick and restore the five-goal advantage for Duchy.
Man of the Match was awarded to Ricky Birch.
