Duchy Cruise past Mannamead in League Opener

A goal from debutant, Kerry Wills, completed a comfortable 5-0 win for Duchy in their first Trelawney 1 fixture of the campaign. 

The Cornish side were in total control against the visiting Plymouth side, with Mannamead rarely testing Charlotte Ramsay in the Duchy net. Amy Looker opened the scoring mid-way through the first half with a powerful strike from a penalty corner, with Amy Chippett doubling the advantage from another well-worked set piece in the run-up to half time. 

Duchy continued to dominate after the break with Looker - making her first competitive appearance 364 days since scoring six against Plymouth Uni. 3s - doubling her tally from the penalty spot for 3-0; before Chippett also bagged a second with another penalty corner goal. 

The rout was completed in the closing stages by Wills, who swept home a cross from Charlie Bingham, to claim a goal on her debut and seal a 5-0 victory which propels Duchy imediately into second place in the table.
