Match Report | Second Half Showing Rescues win for DuchyDuchy built upon their top-of-the-table victory over Plym Valley with a hard fought victory over Caradon II at Lux Park. A gutsy performance from the home side caused Duchy problems in the first half, particularly when Tania Spicer opened the scoring for Caradon from a penalty corner after ten minutes - the first time Duchy have failed to score first all season. Amy Looker fired home an equaliser on the half-hour mark to take the teams into the interval at 1-1, however Caradon made Duchy work hard for their oportunities and always looked a threat. After the interval, and a re-shuffle in personnel, Duchy were rejuvinated and put in a significantly improved performance. Looker struck again ten minutes into the half to put Duchy ahead and, with Caradon then forced to chase the game, were able to add to their tally with Looker completing a hat-trick and Paige Peters grabbing a fourth to take the final score to 4-1. Man of the match was awarded to Amy Looker __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Caradon II | 1 | Tania Spicer PC Duchy | 4 | Amy Looker F, F, F; Paige Peters F |
