Shootout Victory for Duchy A

Falmouth II inflicted Duchy's largest defeat for over three years with a brilliant performance in Penryn.

Captain, Suzanne Bull scored a hat-trick in the 6-1 win, as Falmouth completely outclassed the Trelawney 1 champions; although it was Imogen Robson who oppened the scoring after six minutes with a neat finish from five yards. Bull scored her first of the day on the quarter hour mark after the home side siezed on a mistake in the Duchy defence, and the error-prone visitors again conceded costly possession after 20 minutes with Louise Cross taking the lead to 3-0. 

Duchy had their best spell of the match in the ten minutes either side of half time, with Amy Chippett converting a pass from Vicky Pearson to reduce the arrears to 3-1 at the interval; however Falmouth reacted well and resored their three goal lead mid-way through the second half with Bull brilliantly glancing home a speculative pass into the circle. 

The fourth goal removed any chance of a Duchy comeback with Falmouth adding two further goals before the final whistle. Kelly Jeffries took the lead to 5-1 after picking up a rebound and firing home, before Bull complete her hat-trick in the final minute with a well taken penalty corner. 

Man of the Match was awarded to Megan Jope & Maisy Luke.
