Club XI Vs Devonport Services [Mixed Friendly]

Duchy and Devonport Friendlies Mark Start of Pre-Season

Duchy took three teams to Plymouth for a series of friendly matches against Devonport Service to kick off pre-season for both clubs.

The first two fixtures saw Duchy win 5-3 in the Men's match and 4-0 in the Women's match; leaving the Mixed XI with the task of making it three wins from three.

Despite many players from both sides having already played a match the energy levels on display were excellent and a competitive game ensued. Duchy's front line - the father-son combination of Lee and Conor Selby - scored three goals between them (two for Selby Senior) to put the Cornish side in the driving seat; before a brace from Stuart Barbery cancelled out two responses from Deconport.
