Tripple Victory for Duchy as Pre-Season Continues

After two well-contested Mixed matches, Duchy & Truro continued their pre-season preparations with a series of matches for the men's and women's sides at Truro school.

The day started well for Duchy with Amy Chippett scoring twice in the first half of the women's match, which the Black & Whites went on to win 5-0. Duchy also performed well in the first of two men's matches, as a mixture of the 1st & A XIs ran out 4-1 winners against Truro A with Stuart Barbery claiming two goals and the Man of the Match award.

The final match saw a seven-goal thriller between Truro B and Duchy A/B, which saw Duchy twice let slip a two-goal lead (at 2-0 and 3-1 up), with the hosts clawing their way back to 3-3 with ten minutes to play. A draw would have been a reasonable result after a tight match, however Lee Selby snatched a late goal to give Duchy a 4-3 win.
